…for years, on and off, I’ve
fiddled with a the notion
of an downside-up
tour-de-force…here’s
a sample….
At the end of the 4th session allof the lettering, large and small,
has been cleaned up and given
several coats. Jesse and I snapped
chalklines for a grid and then I painted
in the background.
By the end of the next session, most
of the yellow has been rolled over twice
with the dark brown and the lettering
more sharply edged.
Primed section on a viaduct in Oak Park
(North Blvd between Harlem and Marion)
has been painted yellow and lettering
masked out edges traced.
…just idly sketching I suppose…
